Survey Question Variables

Do Survey Questions have built-in variables that we can access? That is, when a survey question such as a Likert scale is created, does it automatically have any built-in variables associated with it in the same way a text filed does for instance? What I want to be able to do is test whether a learner selects "Strongly Agree" or "Strongly Disagree". It's fine if I have to use javascript.

Thanks

  • Unfortunately, Storyline doesn't provide built-in variables for Likert survey slides. And there's no way to check which button is selected within each set of responses.

If you want to use a Likert scale to determine what feedback to provide and/or what options to make available within the course, you can set up a custom survey. This post has a file that demonstrates and explains how to do that: TIP: Track Responses to Custom Questions or Surveys | Articulate - Community

    • Note: The demonstrated programming only works to customize what the user sees in the course. It does not send any of the data to an LMS/LRS.
