Hi Kate! Great question! To change the state of the instructions to Hidden on that layer, all you need to do is set the initial state of the instructions to Hidden. The object trigger you highlighted above isn't needed. Here's a screenshot for reference.

Hi - I worked out why the cursor was there as it was visible from the layer below. =)
