Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag. As a troubleshooting step, try importing your existing slides over to a new Storyline 360 project file to reset slides and existing variables. Here's how:
You'll also want to make sure that you're working locally when making changes to your project file, to minimize the risk of running into data issues. If you're already working locally and importing your slides over to a new project file doesn't work, please share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing.
