Text Data Entry Field Not Working Correctly
I have added a Text Data Entry field on a slide and despite telling it to have a top alignment and to use scrollbars, it is aligning the text in the middle and using text overflow instead of scrollbars.
I've used this feature many times in the past and it worked great. Not sure if a recent update broke the functionality or if there is something obvious I'm missing.
I can't post my file but I can post some screenshots. Here are the settings:
How it looks in Storyline 3:
How it looks when published (horizontal alignment):
Scroll bar not working:
Thanks!

It looks you are using Storyline 360 which no longer uses the Scrollbars on text entry. Storyline 3 still does.

I am using Storyline 360. Thanks for the reply.
Why do they have settings for scroll bars if Storyline doesn't support them? In fact, I know I've used scrollbars in 360 before, so is this a recent change? Is there a workaround for that function (i.e. javascript, etc.)?

They do work in text boxes and shapes, but not for a text entry object.
These are ideally used for when creating templates where the amount of content may change per project.
You might consider submitting a case if you think it is a bug.

Yeah I think it is a bug because it worked as intended on another computer. Both were using the most recent update.
I was able to transfer the working text entry field into my project with the incorrectly working field and it works. It's on the same slide and both have the same settings yet one works and one doesn't. Odd...

I figured it out. The Text Entry Field cannot be shorter than 60 or less pixels. If it is the settings will not take. Unfortunately, my screen shot area is 58 pixels so I'll have to get creative. Thanks!
