text issues since recent updates (formatting and spacing)

Hello Brian!

We're happy to help! It sounds like there are a few things that you're running into:

  • Scrollbars are added to text boxes in a recent update.
  • Formatting of text boxes is different in Preview/Publish 
  • Extra space is shown above and below, a superscript symbol when added, not from the symbol window.

The scrollbars you're seeing were a feature added in May to Storyline 360, however, we've made changes to this feature which you can find here.

The formatting of the textbox shouldn't be different in Preview or Publish. Are you seeing this with every project or just this specific one? Can you upload a .story file so we can see what you're noticing on your end? You can share it in this discussion or privately in a support case.

Lastly, I don't see the same issue with superscript text. I've tried to recreate this in Storyline 360 (Build 3.57.26476.0) but I'm not seeing the extra space. Can you share either a screenshot or screen recording of this behavior so we can get it logged if it is a bug?
