Text Shifts when I hit playback

Hi, I am a bit new here and am putting together a portfolio piece in Storyline, but I am in a bit of a standstill here on this slide since all of my text seems to be in place in the textbox, but when I hit the playback, it shifts.

I thought it had to do with the voice to text that I added, but when I remove it again and hit playback, all is in it's proper place for a couple seconds, and then the text automatically shifts for the rest of the clip. I have enclosed two screenshots here if anyone has any suggestions before I try to sync the speech to the text (it's not animated yet). Thank you!

Correct letter spacing:

Incorrect Spacing that happens during playback:

Thanks for any feedback!

  • I've had the same problem with bulleted text, while editing everything is fine, preview and some lines of text are no longer in line and are indented further.

As I needed to publish quickly, I duplicated the text box and added the 'offending' bullet as a new text block underneath. It was a new project so I was using the most up-to-date fonts/text styling settings. The same template slide with a similar amount of text displayed fine.

Thanks for the suggestion, somehow after I animated each line to sync with the narration, it seemed to work itself out (although now one of the bullets appears to be a different size...hmmm...), but I'm still a bit perplexed as to why it happened in the first place.

Thank you so much for the idea, I will try it when it happens again!
