Text to speech voices (Indian accent)

I remember there were TTS voices like Kajal and Aditi, now I am unable to find them in Storyline 360. Were they removed? I need one male and one female Indian accented English voice

  • Hi MandarPhadke

Thanks for reaching out! Is it possible the male voice you're thinking of is Kamal? I can confirm that I was able to locate two voices for Kamal (male) and Aditi (female) in Storyline 360 from the Voice Library. Here's a visual for your reference

    To access them:

    1. On the Home tab, click Insert Audio> Text-To-Speech.
    2. Open the My Voices panel and select the button in the top right corner for the Voice Library.
    3. Use the search bar to search for voices. You can click Add to My Voices or Use to start using the voices

If you still don't see those voices when working with the latest version of Storyline 360, we'd be happy to help you troubleshoot further within this thread or privately in a support case.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello, Thank You, I could find it that way. I found only one Neural voice Kajal and there are two other normal voices (Aditi & Raveena). However normally I used to go via the AI text to speech and there, I could not find them. Anyway I will use this workflow. Thank You.

      Hi MandarPhadke.

I'm glad the Voice Library workflow got you up and running!

The difference you noticed is expected. Storyline 360 includes two separate text-to-speech options, and they don't use the same voice library:

      • Classic Text-to-Speech includes the traditional Standard and Neural voices. That's where you'll find voices like Aditi, Raveena, and Kajal. These voices are managed through the Voice Library in the classic text-to-speech workflow.
      • AI-generated Text-to-Speech uses a different set of AI-generated voices designed to sound more natural (this is where we found Kamal and Aditi). Because it's a separate feature, you won't necessarily see the same voices that are available in Classic Text-to-Speech.

Thanks for following up, and I'm happy to hear you found a workflow that works for your project!
