Text to Speech problems
Hi there
I don't know what's happened in some of my Articulate 360 eLearnings but when I go to edit the Text to Speech text on a slide it's showing me text from the previous slide, although it previews the correct text. I'm very confused :( This has also happened to a colleague so it's not just my pc or work.
I'm using the latest version.
Any thoughts on what's going on would be much appreciated :)
Thank you.

This is an example showing what I mean. The Text to Speech audio line is the right length, the preview is saying the right thing but the text is showing what is on the previous slide.
Hey SarahHolden,
Sorry to hear that you and your team are having trouble with Text-to-Speech in Storyline.
Were the affected slides created by duplicating other slides? I ask because we're tracking a bug in Storyline that causes behavior similar to what you've shared.
When a slide containing a Text-to-Speech object is duplicated, and the script is edited on the duplicate, those changes may not be retained after saving and reopening the project. The duplicate slide’s script can revert to the original text, while the updated text may instead appear in the closed captions for the Text-to-Speech object on the original slide.
If that sounds like a process you and your colleague have applied while authoring, I'm happy to include you both in the bug report that's being tracked.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello Stephen
Thank you for your swift reply. It is very possible that I've duplicated slides and so your explanation made sense. I would appreciate being put onto your bug report so we can keep track of what might be happening. Thank you.
In the meantime, is there anything we can do (other than retype the text to speech again)?
Thanks, Sarah
Hey SarahHolden,
You're welcome. Thanks for following up.
I've included your voice in the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready. As a workaround, we suggest creating a duplicate of the Slide and deleting the Text-to-Speech. Then, manually copy the Text-to-Speech from the original slide and paste it onto the duplicate slide.
We appreciate your patience, and I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!

Hi StevenBenassi, I've encountered the same issue. Could you please include me in the bug report too? Thanks
Hey Irene0524,
Sorry to hear that you've also encountered this setback.
I've linked this discussion to the bug report, and we'll update you as soon as a fix is in place. To work around this behavior, we suggest creating a duplicate of the Slide and deleting the Text-to-Speech. Then, manually copy the Text-to-Speech from the original slide and paste it onto the duplicate slide.
Thank you for your patience!
