Text with Image Problems

We like to use text with image blocks at the start of our lessons to ground things. Recently we've been struggling with sizing these images appropriately as everytime we upload something, it zooms into the image by quite a bit. I've either not noticed it do this before or was picking images that it didn't matter too much but it's become a problem. Any suggestions for sizing to help combat this problem?

  • Hi StephanieCorren!

Happy to share some insight on working with images in Rise 360!

While Rise is fully responsive and doesn't provide official fixed dimensions, there are certain practices that may help improve your authoring experience:

    • Following a recommended aspect ratio of: 16:9 (landscape).
    • Suggested file sizes of: 1200x675px or 1600x900px.
    • Being mindful of "Safe Zones": Keep important content centered within the image, and avoid putting crucial elements at the edges as they may get cropped when viewing the course on different screens.

If you upload a file that's larger than the image container, Rise will scale it down. If the aspect ratio doesn't match the display container, some zooming and cropping is to be expected.

I'll also open the floor to our community who may be able to offer additional design suggestions with you!
