Thought bubbles gone in SL360?
FredGood: I've never been a fan of Storyline's speech and thought bubbles.
As an alternative, consider using a standard text box. Fill it with a picture of the bubble you want to use. In the Format Shape > Text Box window, adjust the Margins as needed to place the text in a good position.
Another option: Design the thought bubble in Storyline using multiple shapes. In the FORMAT ribbon, use the Merge Shapes > Union option to combine them into one shape. As with any shape, you can then double-click to start entering text directly into the shape. Again, adjust the Margins as needed.

Hi FredGood,
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble adding Caption Bubbles in Storyline.
These elements are still fully functional, and you shouldn't have to build them in other third-party tools.
- Here's a quick Peek showing the experience of adding caption bubbles via two different menu options.
Can you share more details on where specifically you're getting stuck? If you're comfortable sharing a screen recording of the behavior, feel free to include that here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
