Hello, I've built a course with storyline 2, but after published the scorm file on the LMS platform I noticed that it often happend that the timeline is not synchronized with the video, so the video usually ends first and the timeline after some more seconds... I already checked the timeline and associated triggers in the storyline file and they match correctly so I don't know if it depends from the browser (I tried only Google Chrome) or something else... Thank you all!

Hi Matteo, Are you scrubbing through the video or timeline, or using any of the player seekbar elements to see this? How is the video inserted (web object, from file, etc.)? You could also test outside your LMS to see if there is any lag there. A good testing platform is SCORM Cloud (it's free and pretty easy!) and that'll help narrow down where the issue is. You could also try a few other browsers to see if the behavior is different between them. Let us know how that testing goes for you!

Hello Ashley, sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice you answered me. The video is inserted "from file" and I'm using the player' seekbar, the point is that it happens "sometimes" not always on the same slide and not on every browser, but mostly on Google Chrome or Mozilla, not at all on M.Edge, instead. We noticed that it happens especially if you starts the presentation and leave the browser on background, making other operations at the computer. We experience even another problem sometimes, some users cannot see the html5 scorm on latest versions of IE, and need to set the compatibility with our website and older versions of IE. Do you think these two issues are related? Can the problem be depending from the LMS? Or the used scorm version (2nd, 2004)? I'll try Scorm Cloud in the meanwhile and check if these things happens even there, thank you very much!

Hi Matteo, No worries on the delay - we're still here. 😀 HTML5 content for Storyline 2 is supported in Chrome and Safari on desktop as you'll see here in the viewing requirements. So it could be connected to trying to view the HTML5 output in those browsers? Can you see if the problematic browsers will play it back in Flash too? SCORM Cloud is always another good testing option to determine if there is an issue in the LMS too. Let me know if you need anything else.

Unfortunately it happens on Scorm Cloud too, and I tried on four several Computers on IE11, Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers, and it happened on every each one. It still going on the same story: if you play the lesson on background, not always on the same slide, the seekbar goes slower than the video, so it finishes a lot of seconds (even minutes) after the video'time. I questioned the Lms Forum too, and it lookk that the IE11 compatibility it depends from the LMS, but not this other problem. Thank you again for your precious support

Hi Matteo, Could we get a look at your .story file and a link to your course? I'd like to see the behavior and do some testing around it. Does it also happen when you're previewing the course or just once you've published it? Are you using the seekbar to advance things, or it just is out of sync based on normal playback? Ok, at the moment we're handling it making the lesson borwser window in small dimensions and never putting it in background, and using mainly Microsoft Edge, as it looks the issue is less evident.

I really appreciate if you can keep me updated about this issue.

I have some great news!

We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.

This update fixes the issue you reported where audio continued to play in the HTLM5 output when switching to another browser tab.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.

We are experiencing a similar issue, usually with our longer videos, 30 or 60 min videos. So far, we can demonstrate this with Chrome, our main browser. We have noticed a syncing difference of a small amount, but some of our users have expressed a much longer time frame of difference.

Our build: We use Wistia embed code and set our timeline of the video slides to be around half the length of the video. We then set a trigger to allow the "Next" button to appear at the end of the timeline.

Around 10% of our users are experiencing issues with having the next button appear at the appropriate time or not at all. I had thought this was a timing issue, and it seems that this could be the case. It is possible to have resurfaced with maybe a change in the Chrome browser. I am looking to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue?
