I am having this same problem with my file. The character should come in at 6 seconds but he is there the entire time. No rhyme or reason. CandiceBoult-b4 did you find a solution for your issue?

Happy to help! It sounds like you're running into a behavior that can be corrected by adjusting either the position of the objects in the timeline or the associated triggers.
