Transcoding
In addition to SL360, we have recently started use Rise360 to deliver training. However, we notice that some of our image uploads, and almost all of our audio and video uploads are transcoded by Rise when published. There seems to be an additional 33/45 characters added to individual asset file name, which is causing some issues importing into our LMS. We are exceeding preset character limit
What settings is Rise transcoding to? The assumption is if we import them at those settings, then transcoding would not be necessary. If correct, that should eliminate our LMS character issue.
If not correct, are there any other suggestions? Most articles talk about size limits, but I cannot find anything about settings. Thank you.

Hello Krishna!
We don't currently have a workaround when it comes to Rise transcoding audio or video files.
Special characters are automatically added to all media in the course to ensure that they're unique. As suggested by Chester to Micahel, If you are reaching your LMS limit, you can try renaming your audio/video files to a few characters only before inserting them into Rise.
A request has been submitted to our product team. We'll post an update to this thread if we make changes that will help.

I'm wondering if this has been addressed. I noticed my published files from Rise no longer show any indication of transcoding in the filename. Any updates?
Hi Christian,
I did a test publish just now and still see the items in the published output being transcoded.
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of which files you're referring to so I can confirm if any changes were made to the publishing behavior?
