Translation file not working

I am using storyline 3 and i have received docx documents with translated text that i want to import. I have tried to save the document as a .doc, but it keeps giving a fault when i import ...
what happens, if you import the docx to doc converted translation file?
if it's only a problem of SL 360/SL 3 import compatibility, you could use a 30 day trial version to import the docx and save the .story file
VERY IMPORTANT: Never change* the .story file AFTER exporting the translation file
* small changes are ok - but i would archive exactly the version at the time of the export
