Trigger copy and paste doesn't always work in Storyline 2
Around eight times out of 10, the trigger copy and paste in Storyline 2 works fine. But as you can see from the attached video, sometimes it doesn't work at all. The only fix is to go to another slide, come back, and try again. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi Greg!
This thread is a bit dated. If you have an example to share, we'd be happy to take a look.

Hi Leslie,
Sorry no example - fixed it and moved on!
I was having some trouble with a copied trigger and this thread seemed related. Just thought I'd let people know that this does occur and that, assuming the copied trigger is configured correctly, there really is no "troubleshooting" to do beyond deleting and recreating the trigger from scratch (not copied).
If it happens again perhaps I'll submit. Thanks.
Thanks for popping in to share Greg and that'd be great if we could take a peek if you run into it again.

still happens with articulate 360
Hi there, Cheryl. Welcome to 360! Are you having some inconsistency with copying/pasting triggers in Storyline 360?
If you're able to reproduce this behavior, would you mind sharing a quick Peek of when it happens on your end? I want to make sure we can document it properly if it's an issue!

Hello everybody... 2022 and still having this issue. Any ideas or workaround to it? I am working on a file with MANY triggers and losing the capability of copy/paste them is driving me crazy
Hi Leonel,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. I'd like to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
- The product involved in this discussion is Storyline 2 which is no longer supported. Are you having trouble copying and pasting triggers in Storyline 3 or Storyline 360?
- Are you able to replicate the behavior in a new project file?
Additionally, would you be will to share a copy of your project file here or in private so we can test the behavior you're experiencing? Please include which specific triggers you are trying to copy and paste so I can check to see what's going on.

Once I am able to replicate it myself, I will share it with you guys. So far it just happens randomly. And as I read previously in this thread, I was able to work around it by deleting the trigger and then manually recreate it and then after I was able to copy and paste it again.
