Trimming screen recording action
I recorded a video using Articulate 360s screen recording function with the purpose of doing a step-by-step walkthrough of another software. I used the step by step try option and it create the individual steps in the slides as I wanted. In one of the screen recording actions I noticed that a mistake was made when typing something the first time, the mistaken word was removed and retyped correctly. Is there a way to trim the mistake out of the screen recording action like when trimming a video in Replay so that the users taking my course won't see the mistake?
Hi Brett!
Great question about being able to edit an Articulate 360 screen recording!
After recording a screencast and inserting it into your course, you can edit the screen recording to remove a portion by following the steps in this article.

I'm having the same issue and the steps detailed are fine if you only want to adjust the start and end frame of the recording. what he is asking (I think) and me is how to cut out pieces of your recording not necessarily at the beginning or end of a recording. For example I want to cut out the portion of my recording that shows the software busy saving. I want to trim that so the learner doesn't have to sit and watch the turning circle for as long. I realize this thread is really old but can't find a newer one.
Hi LeslieWilbourne!
It sounds like you're trying to remove sections of a Step-by-Step screen recording in Storyline!
The editing capabilities of Storyline's Action Fine Tuning tool is limited to start and end frame modification only. If you're looking for more control, to remove sections in the middle, have you tried exporting the video as an MP4 and using Replay 360? All Articulate 360 Teams subscribers have full access!
Also, we are tracking a feature request to expand the options for Storylines' built-in video editor. I'll include your voice in that request! We'll be sure to notify you if this enhancement makes it to our product roadmap.
