Try Mode Questions/Kinks

Hi All,

I am currently working on a course that involves using "try mode". This is my first time using this feature in SL but we've come across a few kinks that I'm trying to work out.

1. For text entry in try mode, if the "try again" layer appears, is there a way to reset the text entry box so that it's cleared for another attempt? For ex. they type 41.4 but that's incorrect, can it be reset back to clear for a new text entry each attempt?

2. I have VO on some try mode steps. However, if the user clicks anywhere in the screen before the "hint layer" appears, they get an "incorrect" response. If I change the hint layer to start right away and they click anywhere, it stops the VO. I'm trying to find a way to not allow them to TRY the steps until VO is completed. Adding a transparent shape as a "click block" didn't work while in try mode. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for reaching!

    Allow me to address your inquiries individually. 

    1. Text entry values are stored inside variables, so you'll need to clear out the values of these variables to make the text entry boxes revert to their default appearance. A member of the community has outlined how to do this in this thread. 
    2. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at how you setup your slides with the voice overs? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
