Turn off marker pulse animation in Rise
Is there any update on an option to remove the pulsing animation? I'm also having issues with it distracting from the text/details in an image
Hi Lucy!
Thanks for checking in on this!
I don't have any updates to share at this time as our development team has been prioritizing other features. Not to worry! I've included you in the feature report and will update this discussion if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.
Have a great rest of your week!

This accessibility requirement (and simple fix such as an option to toggle on/off or to time out pulsing) has been identified for several years now and echoed by many many users. Can you share any insight into how Articulate prioritizes requests? Accessibility is a deal breaker as a compliance requirement and could force organizations to seek another e-authoring solution.

Hi KellyRipley
Thank you for sharing this feedback.
While this is still a feature request, our team is tracking it, and support is in place today to reduce motion. Marker pulsing automatically turns off when a learner’s device is set to “reduce motion.” This aligns with accessibility guidance for minimizing animation.

Thanks for your response LeslieMcKerchie but the users local settings does not actually relieve us of our compliance requirement to address this. Nor does the fact that after a user activates one marker, it stops pulsing, as has been suggested as compliance in other responses. The ability for the user to easily deactivate the motion for all, or for the motion to stop within 5 seconds would be compliant.
Ill flag also that the question asked was not addressed. Great to hear that you are "tracking it" but what does that mean in response to "How does Articulate prioritize these requests?"
Thank you for any further insight you can provide.
