Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
Since you were able to replicate the behavior on a new Storyline 360 project file, I'd first recommend trying to do a repair of your installation to see if this helps. This article explains how to do the repair:
If the issue persists, try publishing your course to either web, LMS, or Review 360 to see if those will generate the same error message.This will help isolate if the issue only happens when you publish to a specific format. Once you have this information, please open a case with our support team here and share your results there so we can continue troubleshooting the behavior.
