Undo Function in RISE
Any further word on recovering blocks that are accidentally deleted? I am creating my first RISE course and I'm astounded that there doesn't seem to be a way to "undo" a mistake...a function that is common to virutally EVERY program out there! Thanks...
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

+1 This should be a basic functionality.

While I agree that an Undo button is needed, I'd be interested to know why the Articulate team has chosen to not include that functionality. What are the benefits?

Yes that intrigues me too. Is it too difficult for them to add it to Rise?

I'm pretty sure it reduces cost. If you have to save loads of data so the users can hit the undo button, you need more data storage capacity (i.e. higher cost).

It's incredibly frustrating to hit (CTRL + Z) and sometimes things come back and other times it doesn't. I have just started using Rise and this will probably be the reason why I don't in the future...

Just bought this tool 2 days ago and find out there is no legit undo option? (CTRL+Z doesn't work)....SERIOUSLY?

Fix this Articulate!!!! Undo is a basic function of any authoring tool. I'm a huge fan of Articulate and have been using your product for years. I can't believe your software developers can't add this very important and very basic feature!

I just lost an hour of work because of this. I tried to delete three columns of a table and it was gone. Didn't see the "undo" block either.
Hi Marian!
Sorry to hear you've run into trouble with your deleted table in Rise 360!
Can you confirm if you're using an updated version of a supported browser when authoring courses? I recorded a quick Peek of the behavior on my end when using CTRL+Z to undo a delete action in Rise. It was working as expected for me.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

How is it possible that 4 years later there still isn't an Undo command?
Hi Laura,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand how vital an Undo function is, so I’d like to share that it is now available with Rise 360.
When you delete a block, there’s a 12-second window after you click the delete icon when a notification appears at the screen’s bottom-left corner. Click Undo while it’s still visible, and your block will reappear. To restore a deleted text, use the Ctrl+Z (Command+Z for Macs) key combo. Check out the article below for additional details.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions!
