URL opening in new window on rise 360

Thanks for reaching out! I can confirm that Rise hyperlinks open in a new tab unless the user right-clicks and chooses to open them in a new window.
Are you finding that the hyperlinks open in the same window but in a new tab, or do they load in the same tab? Also, are you viewing the published output in an LMS? If so, do you see the same behavior in another LMS? You can use SCORM Cloud to test.
Some LMSs can dictate whether links open in a new window. If that's the case, I'd reach out to the LMS administrator. They may be able to tweak some settings to achieve what you need.
Is there no way to open a link in a new window in Rise? this seems ridiculous

Thanks for following up! You’re right that Rise currently opens hyperlinks in a new tab, and there isn’t a built-in way to have them open in a separate window. I’ve shared your request with our product team so they can consider adding an option to control how links open, including support for opening in a new window.
We’ll let you know if this enhancement becomes available in a future Rise release.
I understand it might be doable with the new custom code blocks that are in Beta ... only problem is I don't see that option in my version of Rise? why is that?

Since Rise 360 Code Blocks are still in Beta and receiving ongoing improvements, their functionality may change. At this time I cannot confirm if they'll be able to influence hyperlink behavior.
However, you should have access to Code Blocks if you'd like to test this out. The Code Block can be found in the Block Library between Block Templates and Custom Block.
