Video compression - Cannot turn it off

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.

• You can turn off compression altogether for MP4 videos created with baseline, main, or high profiles. (All other videos will be compressed automatically.)
  • If the Compression property is grayed out, it means your video was created with a different profile or it has been edited with Storyline's built-in video editor.
• Have you tried removing the video, importing your slides into a new Storyline file, and then adding the video again?

If you're comfortable sharing your file with us, we'd be happy to test it out to investigate further. You can share it here or privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.

I tried it in Baseline (shown above), then the other two formats. It was the same for all of them; Compression property grayed out and hot garbage.

Not everyone uses Camtasia, we use Premiere Pro to finetune our compression, and for most videos we can't choose compression (greyed out) and for a few we can...it makes no sense and this is not acceptable as Storylines compression-engine destroys the quality for most of our videos rendering them in many cases useless for learning-purposes.
