I am a storyline 3.0 user.
I want to prevent people from fast-fowarding video.
In first step, according to the following video, the video controls in ribbon menu have light and dark options but my view is different from the one in video.

First of all, I am wondering why my view looks different.
Secondly, I would like to know how to restrcit fast-forwarding.
Thank you!

Hello SoohyunPark-e17,
Thanks for reaching out!
It looks like you are using Storyline 3, while the version of Storyline shown in the video is Storyline 360. There are features that are only available in Storyline 360, some of which are described in this article.
Regarding your question about restricting fast-forwarding, you can disable the video controls by selecting the "None" option in your screenshot, and use the option that prevents scrubbing in the Player settings to prevent learners from jumping forward in the timeline to fast-forward the video.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for reply.
But if I select "None", the control bar disappears. I want people to replay the video after watching the vidoe to the end. Can you please show me the way to retrict fast-forwarding without hiding the control bar?
Hi SoohyunPark-e17!
Glad to see Joe has been helping you. Happy to jump in here!
In Storyline 360, authors can use the conditional seekbar, to restrict fast-forwarding without hiding the control bar. Here's how:
- Open your player properties by going to the Home tab on the Storyline ribbon and clicking Player.
- Ensure you're using the Modern player style, as the conditional seekbar is exclusive to this style.
- Click Features on the player properties ribbon.
- Mark the Seekbar box near the bottom of the window, then use the corresponding drop-down list to choose Allow drag after completion.
- Click OK to save your changes and close the player properties.
Please keep in mind that the conditional seekbar feature is exclusive to the modern player style, from Storyline 360. While you can open, edit, and publish .story files that use this feature in Storyline 3, the conditional seekbar itself will not appear in Storyline 3, as the player returns to the classic style in that version.
In your original post, you referred to using Storyline 3. However, I noticed your e-mail address is occupying a seat on an active subscription to Articulate 360. This means you do have access to Storyline 360, where this feature is available. If you need help with downloading, and accessing Storyline 360 on your machine, please refer to this user guide.
