Video editor - taking out a middle chunk of the video
Is it possible to remove a piece (or multiple pieces) from within a video? Using the "Trim" function, I'm only to trim off the ends of a screencast.

What kind of old video editor do you use, since you have such a simple problems? There are, actually, plenty of free video editors you may use. Even online versions. Or basic Windows maker if you have one on your OS.
