Volume of AI voices

What controls the playback volume with the AI voices in Rise? I'm experiencing during playback a noticeable difference in the volume of the audio. Is there a way to modulate the volume or already recorded audio? Is there a way to set consistent volume levels when creating the AI audio?

Thank you for the reply. I'm not really sure how this helps. I'm doing these steps to generate the audio. Based on the note from EricSantos, it seems there is no way to control volume and it's just going to do what it's going to do. I used the same voice for all the generated audio and it was generated over many days, but I could not correlate anything that might contribute to the playback being much louder or softer.

  • Hi KatherineMahon-,

I understand how this could be confusing, especially with the volume differences you’re hearing across clips.

To give a bit more context, Rise 360 doesn’t currently include a way to standardize or adjust volume levels for AI-generated audio. Each clip is generated individually, so you may notice some variation depending on the voice and content.

In this case, there isn’t a setting to directly control or normalize volume within Rise.

If you’re looking for more consistency, one option is to export the audio and adjust it in an external editor before re-uploading. That gives you more control over leveling.

Thanks as well to SinaHa for sharing that resource. The voice selection experience used with AI avatars is similar to AI text-to-speech, which also doesn’t include controls for adjusting volume levels across clips.

Thank you. I submitted a feature request. I think what would help many of the audio issues would be to have an audio editor like the one that is available in Storyline. With the editor, you can adjust volume, add/remove pauses, etc. You have a lot more control over managing the final audio. This editor is available with voice and text-to-speech generated audio. The Neural voices are available if you deploy the AI features in Storyline so I'm equating those to AI voices, but I think they may be different. I think the feature I would really like is a text-to-speech audio editor to fine tune the generated audio.
