Why does "Approved" Show by My Replies Here?
This is for the e-learning Heroes discussions. I just noticed this today. I assume it's part of some auto-approval/moderation logic, but I don't see any topics on it. Anyone else seeing this?
Heya JudyNollet , PhilFoss and Silverfire - (BTW if you don't know me yet, I'm Rachael and I work on the strategy and some back-end ops of ELH 😊) I wanted to just pop in real quick and confirm a few things:
This change wasn't part of our new programming, but rather a platform update that included some changes for moderation flow and the ability to appeal a moderation (which is why you can now see if you have rejected content).
That big Approved tag only appears for post authors and our team of moderators, it's not across the community view. We're looking at doing some redesign as I agree with the feedback that it's a bit distracting; but it's just for your view!
Secondly, PhilFoss I watched your video and you definitely caught a 🐛 for us with that disappearing tag, thank you for that; I'll elevate it to our Khoros platform folks who hopefully can do some correction there in.
Lastly, I love the idea of a bug-hunted badge; I'll see what we can do but I really do appreciate the QA testing especially when new production updates go live!Cheers-
Rachael

It's even showing up on new topics, like so...

Silverfire: I noticed it, too. And there are now extra tabs on the Profile page—visible only when you're viewing your own page.
I'm guessing it's part of the update they've "been quietly building."
Personally, I think the "Approved" label is distracting.

Judy I agree, I just saw your comment about the label being distracting after I recorded this and I mention it too. I think I found a bug in the forum too, I hope they are making a badge for people who find bugs! I'm pretty sure you've found a couple and users should be recognized for this free QA testing we're doing.

PhilFoss: If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a bug-finder/QA-pro badge, although that would be cool. I hit 250 solutions about 4 weeks ago, and I still don't have a badge for that. 🤷♀️ 🤣

This forum software uses Khoros, and they have an option to auto-approve new messages. They might be cracking down on spam content so they can more easily filter it. Also it looks like the clickable tags are now missing on individual posts, making it even more difficult to navigate using breadcrumbs. Also it is currently April 2026, the footer still shows 2025.
