Word document properties
I can publish a word document, but in word, the number of the slides is not recognized as a bullet or number in typical fashion. See attachment.

you can try this.
Word: Find multiple manually entered numbers and delete
- Open the Find and Replace dialog box (Ctrl+h).
- Click More.
- Select the Use Wildcards checkbox.
- In the Find what field, type: (<[0-9]@>)( – )
- Leave the Replace with field empty.
- Click Replace All.
