Workday - Storyline Question Bank/Retry & Score

Hello, I submitted support case #01332676 a few weeks ago regarding an issue with Workday and Storyline SCORM/2004, specifically related to the question bank and the functionality for retrying only missed questions.

Recently, I encountered a new issue with the same SCORM file—the score unexpectedly changed from failing to passing, and in some cases, from a passing score to 100% within a few days. It appears that other community members are facing similar challenges. Has a solution been identified for this issue?

I'm having a similar issue. I have a course with two Tracking requirements (Must have viewed all slides and pass the Final Assessment). The learner has 2 additional attempts to Retry the Final Assessment, yet they are being marked complete by Workday when they click the Retry option and answer just one question correctly on their second attempt. They click Exit Course and be marked complete after just one question retried.

  • Hi IngridFos-34e84 and BelleHabs,

Thanks for continuing to share these details and updates.

From the testing done so far, we haven’t been able to reproduce Ingrid’s reported retry and scoring behavior outside of Workday LMS. In other testing environments, including SCORM Cloud and Reach 360, the “retry only incorrect questions” functionality and score calculations behaved as expected.

Because of that, Ingrid’s case appeared to be related to how Workday was handling score aggregation and retry reporting with that specific setup.

BelleHabs, I’d like to better understand whether your setup matches Ingrid’s findings as well. Are you also using the “retry only incorrect questions” option in Storyline? And if so, does changing the retry behavior to allow full quiz retakes instead change the completion behavior in Workday?

That information would be really helpful for comparison.

We appreciate everyone continuing to share their experiences and findings here.
