Make Yourself Known

Every journey starts with a spark ⚡️

This is yours!

Step in and share who you are, what you’re drawn toward, and what you’re ready to explore. When someone else shares something that catches your attention, don’t just pass by... respond, connect, and let it build into something more.

From here, things start to expand 💫

Not sure how to start? Here are some examples:

Hi everyone! I'm Kell, and I'm the Senior Community Programs Specialist here at Articulate ✨

I'm the one behind many of the programs you'll see across the ELH community, including Peer Pods and ELH Rewards (though I definitely wasn't the only one working on ELH Rewards). I design and run programs that bring people together, spark new ideas, and create space to grow and try new things.

I’m really excited to see how this unfolds: how connections form, how support builds, and what this becomes over time.

Outside of this world, I'm usually on the hunt for a really good coffee shop, planning my next trip, or deep in a history spiral. If you ever want to talk about Henry VIII and his six wives, I will absolutely meet you there.

🔗 Let's connect on LinkedIn!

Rachael here, great to meet everyone in this program and I'm sure we'll be best buds in no time. My role here is Community Operations and Strategy Manager but that really just means I do a bit of everything when it comes to community building.

For me, I am one of the folks who you most often see "behind the scenes" in ELH- I work in the intersection of Operations and Strategy. I'm really passionate about building systems of scale; thinking about how we can leverage big data sets into actionable insights and things like telling compelling stories about all the things you all do here in the Community.

When I'm not at my desk (in Western Maine) I'm either at rehearsals with my local theatre group, playing any number of video games (right now Slay the Spire II, but I can get lost in a good Baulders Gate play-through), or, most importantly, making sure my big lab Stewart is enjoying life. Can't wait to connect more with y'all here!

Hi everyone! I’m Katie, Senior Community Engagement & Content Specialist at Articulate.

I help create content that spotlights members and the work you share in ELH - from our weekly newsletter and articles like Made by Members to opportunities like How I Built This. I love supporting and elevating our members’ voices, so if you ever have an idea or want to brainstorm, please feel free to reach out!

For ELH Rewards, I’ll also be your Mission Coordinator, sharing monthly missions you can complete to earn bonus points.

Outside of this space, I’m a mom to a newborn, still learning to adapt to this new kind of chaos. I’m also a pet mom to a golden retriever and two cats. I love a good theme, so you’ll often find me planning get-togethers like my annual Halloween party.

I’m excited to be here cheering you on!

    Hello!

    Sint Maarten

I am an Instructional Designer at Jacksonville University (FL).  Before stepping through the looking glass into Instructional Design Wonderland, I was a professor of Forensic Science.  Sometimes my job at JU is to be Cheshire Cat, assisting professors along on their teaching journey.  Other times I am the Mad Hatter, dreaming up wild things to try in their classes.  And I am blessed to be surrounded by professors that encourage me to dive down odd rabbit holes.  I often tell my boss I would be happy just to build interactives and games in Storyline all day!  But alas some days I must be Alice in the real world building courses in Blackboard.

When I am not working, I am an avid scuba diver frolicking in an underwater Wonderland.

    Hello, Friends!

I love helping people learn new things, and finding creative ways to make learning actually fun!

With 5+ years of experience in Articulate Storyline, I enjoy turning complex information into interactive, easy-to-understand learning experiences that keep learners engaged.

I’m also passionate about AI image design and love creating custom visuals, characters, and graphics that make training feel fresh, memorable, and unique. I especially love exploring and sharing new ways AI can support education, eLearning, and creative design, and, of course, creating some pretty amazing images along the way!

For me, instructional design is the perfect mix of teaching, creativity, and technology, and I love bringing all three together to create learning experiences people actually enjoy.

    Hello, World!

My name is Nedim, and I’m an eLearning developer based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe. I’ve been a longtime member of this community, and I’ll share a little bit about myself.

My background is actually in web development. Earlier in my career, I worked on building our company’s internal course builder and custom LMS, which gave me a solid foundation in both development and eLearning.

As I started working with new clients, more and more of them were requesting courses to be built specifically in Storyline. That’s how I gradually discovered Articulate Storyline, and it quickly became much more than just another tool in my toolbox. I spent some time going back and forth between Storyline, Lectora, and Adobe Captivate, but eventually I found my way back to Storyline. And it stuck.

Today, Storyline is my playground and, in a way, a second hobby I’ve fallen in love with. And when I’m not crafting courses, you’ll probably find me somewhere out on a hiking trail with my wife, recharging in nature and gathering inspiration for the next big idea. Some of my best course concepts have been sparked somewhere between mile three and a mountain view!

Greetings! I'm Cyd Walker from Eau Claire, WI. I work remote doing instructional design projects for a hospital system located out east. It's a great role as I work with different departments across the system as well as onboarding, mandatory education, and more. I'm an end to end designer.

Favorite sculpture in Phoenix park in Eau Claire, WI

I've been in the learning and development field since 2000 in a variety of industries from professional service, manufacturing, turf industry, and healthcare. I've been focused on instructional design since 2017. I discovered it's a great way to blend the science of learning with creative learning design. And have a personal passion to make the learning experience enjoyable and actionable.

Outside of the learning design, I enjoy co-facilitating a wine group, cooking, road trips, Pilates, and most recently learning how to play DND.

I'm Andrew. I'm a builder interested in the intersection of learning and interactive systems.

I'm drawn to figuring out how things work under the surface and then pushing them further than their obvious intended uses. I enjoy the point where instructional design/development stops being about arranging content and starts becoming experience engineering.

Having learned a few different participation ecosystems, such as different versions of Khan Academy, I'm ready to explore the ELH Rewards ecosystem.

  • Hi, I'm Nathan Hilliard and I work in higher education as an instructional designer for Purdue Agricultural Extension where I collaborate on projects for both youth and adult audiences. Despite higher ed's reputation for dry and monotonous learning content, I lean toward a less traditional and more visual/interactive experience (some of my projects).

I also enjoy learning myself, and often use the discussions on ELH as motivation to try new things and push Storyline to see what I can achieve. Some examples can be found in my ELH profile. I work alone however, and as projects progress so does my ability to work with Storyline and interact with the ELH community. Sometimes though, I just come here looking for something I can use as a distraction from my actual job.

Outside of work, my wife and I love Disney and that's about our only distraction. You may even recognize the view from the porch at Tony's Town Square in my profile photo.

Boiler up!! That's awesome that you have the tools and capabilities to explore creative solutions, especially in a higher education space (alas, that wasn't my experience... eh well). I love your work - great example of gamification!

If you're not having fun, what are you even doing?

I'm Frankie! I am currently serving as an Instructional Designer for Fiesta Franchise Corporation where I am a full-stack developer. I enjoy creating all modalities from the most basic quick reference guides all the way to the most complex learning modules.

I started my journey into L&D with Lincare where I started in an entry level role, then into management... and eventually finding myself in corporate L&D. While there I transferred my operational expertise into practical learning grounded in firsthand experience.

When I'm not at work you can find me on the lanes bowling league or the local tournaments. You might also find me looking through the bins at the local amazon returns outlet...but let's just keep that between us. 🤫

I believe that anyone can apply themselves and accomplish the things they desire to learn, as long as they have the right resources. I hope to continue sharing my own technical expertise with others by leaving useful and actionable comments on posts here in the community.

Find me on LinkedIn to connect professionally or search for me on other socials to follow my amateur bowling journey.

Oh wow, I get to be the first to post! I'm setting the bar really low for folks here, so...

Cats and wine make life fine.

Hi! My name is Jen Russo, and I'm an instructional designer from the Madison, WI area. Every day I get to make really cool courses about some pretty neat products. I've been in the corporate L&D space for about 2.5 years now, and before that I was in joyless higher ed where I couldn't use emojis in instructional materials. No joy = no learning.

Outside of course design, I enjoy gardening, biking, cross-stitching, road trips with the husband, and being owned by three crazy cats.
