I work as a Learning and Development manager for my company, and we are just now starting to gain traction as an L&D team for the company, which is super exciting! The company still isn't willing to invest a lot of money for us to travel to conferences, but with a giveaway like this, we would be able to go as a team to this event (we are close enough that we would drive, and the company would be willing to pay the hotel) and show value in investing even more into learning initiatives. The team member I would bring is just starting to learn more about instructional design and has been knocking it out of the park, so it would be great to bring him along as we are just a team of 2. 

In addition, I work as a freelance instructional designer. I do not have any formal training as I am mostly self-taught, and being able to attend this conference (which has been a bucket-list item for me for a couple of years) would bring a lot of value into the projects I am working on as well. I am super excited to potentially attend and hope, even if I don't win the giveaway, that I will be able to attend in the next couple of years.
