New to Instructional Design - Advice Appreciated!
Hi Antonia!
There’s already some fantastic advice here, so I’ll share one thing that surprised me when I became an instructional designer: the tools are often the easiest part to learn.
Learning Storyline, Rise, and other design tools is important, but a big part of the job is understanding people, asking good questions, solving problems, and figuring out how to make learning meaningful and relevant.
I'd also encourage you to start creating early. Some of my biggest lessons came from building real projects, experimenting, getting feedback, and occasionally realizing my "great idea" wasn't as great as I thought it was. 😄
Stay curious, keep learning, and don't be afraid to share your work with others. The eLearning community is full of people willing to help. Oh, and YouTube has tons of great videos to help you learn the how's.
Good luck on your instructional design journey!
