New in Labs: Skip-ahead Quizzes
I have just been playing. I think this functionality is fantastic and something we would definitely use heavily. Having the ability to allow people to test out is brilliant and something we are often asked for and this makes it so easy. I have just tested a simple version with a pre-quiz lesson, a content block and a post quiz followed by resources in our Workday LMS and it seems to work well.
One thing I would like to see is the ability to have a page where the learner can chose to go through the full course or test out. As an example we don't really want new hires to even have the option to test out or go through something they realistically aren't going to pass yet so I would love an initial page that had buttons that say something like New hires - go direct to content or allow others to test out. When I skip the pre-test though it won't allow me to proceed to the resources page (because it won't let me skip the pre quiz). Maybe there is a way to do this elegantly and I am just not seeing it yet?
Happy to share examples if it helps at all.
Great suggestion! If you haven't already, please share this idea via the feedback survey as well. I'd love for this to be addressed within the quiz experience itself.
For now, a possible workaround could be using buttons or the new hyperlink enhancements experiment currently being tested. One could create a block just before the quiz that allows learners to skip navigate past the quiz by clicking the link.
