Simple Personalization

I hadn't tried any personalization before beyond letting students put in a name, so this was a fun challenge! I used layers and a simple numerical variable to tie to each one for the different avatars, and I'm happy with how it came out! I can see how things would spiral quickly out of hand if you had a lot of characters, though.

I used a hospital background stock photo and medical characters to add to the ambiance of the course and gave a variety of skin tones and genders to try to cover a variety of possibilities.

The only real problem I ran into was when I couldn't figure out why my text was running off the page, but it turned out I just hadn't adjusted my picture correctly to the slide. Ha! These things happen. I'm rusty, but it feels good to get back into it!

This project was 100% human powered without the use of AI.

    Hi Charmsing,

I think this is a great start to the course, and the characters you've chosen fit the theme really well.

I also enjoyed the character selection at the beginning. Giving learners a choice between three different characters adds a nice personal touch and helps create a more engaging experience right from the start.
