Remove version of course?
Apr 22, 2017
Is there a way to remove a version of a course uploaded erroneously? I uploaded a course over another course that already had comments. (I picked the wrong place from the list when publishing.) The comments are not on the new version. Okay. I'd like to delete that version, but don't see a way to do it. I figured I could just upload a new version of the correct course, but still the comments are not there. They are there if I go back to Version 7, before I made my mistake. Thankfully I have not shared this with the client yet, only a team member, but if I had then their comments would no longer be visible. This is alarming. Am I missing something? The ability to delete versions?

I also realize I cannot export comments since it must pull from the current version, which is not displaying the feedback. :-(
Hi Shannon,
I know it's not a good feeling when all of your comments have disappeared, but don't panic. I can help. ☺️
I've opened a case on your behalf, so keep an eye out for an email from Support@Articulate.com. We'll be in touch shortly!
As an update, yesterday Alyssa confirmed that there currently is not a way to remove a version uploaded in error, but that is on the development roadmap for the future. Thanks, Alyssa.
Thanks, Shannon! We'll keep you posted about any new releases here in E-Learning Heroes, as well as on our "What's New" page. 😀
Hi :)
Is there an update on this topic? Or when can we expect a change? I have the same problem as Shannon. Would be great if it was possible to delete versions
Hello Merit and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
The ability to delete versions is not available yet.
A possible workaround:
If you were to create a copy of a Storyline or Studio course and publish that to Articulate Review it would treat it as a new version/copy so you'd only have that one version and any new feedback added there. The feedback won't carry over from your previous upload, as it'll be a "new course", but your previous course would still be accessible to you in Articulate Review to see the feedback. If feedback is not an issue, then you can delete the older course to keep your Review page cleaned up a bit.
If you are logged in and visit: https://360.articulate.com/review/content you should see all the content you published to Articulate Review and when you hover over each card you should see a set of three dots appear to the right of the content title. If you click there you'll have the option to delete the content item. I recorded a quick Peek to show the behavior.
Hi-
Do we have the ability to delete versions?
Thank you,
Julie
Hey Julie! We're still tracking this request, so thanks for letting us know you're interested in this feature. If we add the ability to delete versions in the future, we'll let you know!
I too would also like to be able to delete versions. I have used Review 360 to publish my files for view by my staff. There is an option to see previous versions and I would prefer they didn't see the previous versions.
Thanks, Erin
Thanks for your vote, Erin. I'll share your thoughts with our team!
We'll let everyone participating in this discussion know if there's any forward movement on this feature. Here's an inside look into how we prioritize feature requests 👀
I also want to get the ability to delete versions, I made a mistake and would be great to delete undesired versions to not confuse my Subject Matter Experts.
Thanks, Carla. We'll keep you posted if this is added to the list.
We absolutely need this feature! Any status updates?
Hi Nikki,
Thanks for chiming in to let us know that you would like to see this feature as well.
I do not have any updates at this time. I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.
This conversation is linked to the report we are tracking so that we can share any updates we may have in the future and you should now be subscribed to this conversation.
Hi,
I am echoing the call to be able to delete select older versions of a course published to Review 360. (and joining in on the conversation in case any updates are sent our way)
Thanks!
I would also like to see the ability to delete older versions added to Review 360.
Thanks
I would also value this feature. It would be extremely helpful to be able to delete a bad version that I no longer want people to see, but I don't want to start a whole new URL, and also, they still have the old URL so can look at it anyway.
+1 for deleting old versions (especially when you've published to the wrong course in error)
Raising my hand on this one too. It would be a nice for a more efficient workflow.
Thanks!
I desperately need this feature too. When you are working on multiple projects, it is so easy to accidentally save the wrong thing. I know I can re-publish as a new item, but the reviewers already have the old link which is now going to the wrong project.
This might be a Newbie question: Can I remove/delete all comments? I want to send the course to new group of SMEs and it would be easier to manage the new comments as a separate group.
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to thank you for reaching out about adding this feature! I will be providing these comments to our team and adding them to our report. We will be sure to reach out and provide updates on this feature as soon as we have more information!
Michael,
I am happy to help here!
With Review 360, another option here is you can publish the course as a new item. This workflow would allow you to send the course to a new group of SMEs. A tip that might help is to rename the course when publishing as a new item. This way, you can differentiate the courses that are in Review 360:
You can find more details on this publishing option here!
The challenge with this is that it creates a new link. Often reviewers will go back to whichever email they can find and use the link. If there was one link to use throughout the process that would show only one version, that would be great.

Vincent- If I publish the course as a new item I no longer have all of my stakeholder feedback in one place. I would have to check two (or more) locations for their feedback.
Also, I prefer to keep the same link throughout the project instead of having to resend a new link every time. I tried this before and it led to a lot of confusion (ie., SMEs were confused why nothing had changed when in fact they were looking at an outdated link).
Thanks for your replies everyone. I worked out how to Hide the feedback and that seems to have satisfied those who were concerned about the previous SME feedback
