Hi, Is it just me? Or have other people had serious lag time using Rise and Storyline after the latest Windows updates? Trying to get the preview to play, hitting spacebar, adjusting CC on audio and video files, and even just opening Storyline or Rise is taking really long. I'm trying to figure out if this is an issue with my laptop or a wider issue. Thanks!319Views2likes21CommentsStoryline audio stops working on random slides
I’ve been working with Storyline for some time, but this time I’ve encountered an issue where I’m unable to identify any clear cause or logic behind what’s happening. I currently have four modules published from Storyline, both for SCORM and Review. During the review process, one of my colleagues commented that a particular slide did not have audio. However, when I checked, the audio was present on the slide timeline and played correctly on my end in both Review and Preview. Another co-worker of mine also confirmed that the audio worked for her. 🙃 I then published the module to SCORM and uploaded it to Moodle. While conducting final testing, I noticed that a few slides are experiencing the same issue. The audio does not play when the slide starts. To make the audio work, I either need to: go back to the previous slide and return to the slide, or let the slide timeline finish (in restricted mode), then drag the timeline back to the beginning, at which point the audio starts playing. I would prefer not to create a trigger on every slide to play the audio, as the audio should automatically play when the slide timeline starts. Additionally, most of the slides are working correctly, and only a few slides are affected, which makes it difficult to determine the cause. if anyone has encountered similar issues and have some suggestions or tips on how to fix this. I would greatly appreciate the help!!!18Views0likes1CommentAudio file plays in preview, but not in Review360 or the LMS via SCORM 1.2
Hi All, This is driving me crazy and it's absolutely hindering my ability to publish eLearning content for my organization. I never had a problem with this until the past two months, and all other online training we receive from a vendor (including ones built in Storyline) work just fine. I am publishing a course, as I have always done and adding voiceover tracks to narrate the material, but they aren't all consistently playing. Some slides will play, then some slides will be silent, and then it'll start back up again. When clicking "Previous" or going back a slide, the audio will decide to play. I can't figure out why this is happening and it's severely impacting my productivity. Any ideas? I see the one similar comment from a year ago about adding a play button, but this issue just started and I am wondering if some setting might be causing it. We've added Annotated Screenshots to Review 360, which improves how reviewers provide feedback to course authors. This feature enables reviewers to add annotations directly onto screenshots of course content. Reviewers can capture images while giving feedback and use various tools to mark them up—including text, boxes, lines, highlighting, and freehand drawing. Each annotated image connects to its related comment, making it easier for authors to understand exactly what needs changing. How to use this feature.1.7KViews19likes23CommentsNew Custom Rise Blocks not Appearing in Review
I just created and used my first custom Rise blocks--excited about this feature so I don't have to jump into Storyline to create simple interactions. One issue is that the custom interactions aren't showing in the review link I've created. I can seem them in preview mode in the course but not in review. There's no placeholder etc. It just looks as if it doesn't exist. Is this a known bug?726Views9likes21CommentsNew in Review 360: Team Folders
We're ecstatic to launch Review 360 team folders for Articulate 360 teams. Now any seatholder can manage and publish new versions of the same Review 360 items, making it easier than ever to collaborate on multiple projects. When you launch the Review 360 dashboard, you'll see three main sections in the sidebar: Private, Team, and Deleted Items. After you publish your content to Review 360, you'll find it in the Private directory. When you're ready to share it, move it to the Team directory, where every team member can access it. Want to share your content with only a few people? No problem! Create a folder under the Team directory, give it a name, then select who you want to share it with. If "Everyone" shows as an editor, hover over it and click the trash icon to remove it. Once your content is in the Team directory, members with access will see it listed when publishing a new version of an existing item to Review 360. If you’re an Articulate 360 teams subscriber, you can access this new feature immediately in Review 360. And if you don’t have Articulate 360 but want to try out this feature, you can start a free 30-day trial. For more detailed information about this feature, check out our user guide: Review 360: Share Items with Team Folders.1.2KViews0likes71CommentsPublishing comments made in Storyline 360 to Review 360.
I'm working on a Storyline 360 project and added comments within Storyline that I want my reviewers to see when the project is published to Review 360. However, my comments do not show up in Review 360 when published. The feedback section in Review 360 reads, "No comments yet." What do I need to do to get my Storyline 360 comments to appear in Review 360?76Views0likes3CommentsSmall gap between slide content and player
This is something I've noticed in Storyline for a few years now. 9 times out of 10, there is usually a small 1px gap between the edge of my slide content and the player, making it impossible to create seamless content. The small gap also shows some content, but not others. The location of the small gap also seems to be random across the 4 sides. For example, below is a screenshot from one of my latest courses (in both Chrome and Edge). You can see the small gap between all edges of the slide and the player, with the edges more prominent in Chrome. The gap does appear slightly in the Storyline Preview, but is much worse in published content (either to SCORM or Review 360). The slides are 1080x1920. For reference, the below screenshots were all taken on a 4k monitor at 100% page zoom. It appears to be a responsive scaling issue, as the gaps change affect edges depending on the window size, the browsers zoom, etc. To try and mitigate this issue, I extended the edges of the blue rectangle shapes outside of the slide bounds, but those objects get culled so you can see the gap, but some objects that are beneath those objects are still visible. Has anyone else come across this issue (my entire team have), and if so, have you tried anything that has fixed the issue? Making edits to the SCORM package JS or CSS sheets isn't a viable workaround, as it needs to be corrected in the Review 360 versions (for client reviews). Additionally, can anyone at Articulate touch on whether this is a known bug and/or if its on a patch roadmap? Please note: I can't upload the Storyline file due to privacy, however, I can confirm this has happened in almost all of the Storyline modules we produce across multiple versions, browsers, and operating systems. Above: Storyline Preview. Very small gap between the left and right edge of the blue banner at the bottom. Above: Review 360 - Chrome. Very visible gaps along all edges of the slide, where you can also see objects that go outside the edges of the slide. Above: Review 360 - Edge. Barely visible gaps along the blue edges of the slide. Above - Left: Zoomed in screenshot of the bottom of a slide with custom navigation arrows, where you can see the button between the bottom of the blue rectangle and the player. Above - Right: Zoomed in screenshot of the Master slide showing the blue rectangle is extended past the slide bounds completely covering the bottom of the button so its not visible. The blue bar has been moved on the right edge to show where the edge of the slide is, purely for the purpose of the screenshot. Note: Interestingly, when I tried to screenshot the button being visible in the gap, if the browser window lost focus, the button would disappear from the gap.188Views0likes5CommentsFeature Request: Search Existing within Publish to Review 360
Hello! My team spends quite a lot of time publishing our trainings to existing 360 files because there is no way to search for an existing training, and they are not in alphabetical order so each time we have to scroll through a list of hundreds of trainings. Is there a solve currently active for this? If not, is this a feature I can request somewhere to be added? Much Appreciated, Brandon42Views0likes1Comment
