Publishing comments made in Storyline 360 to Review 360.

I'm working on a Storyline 360 project and added comments within Storyline that I want my reviewers to see when the project is published to Review 360. However, my comments do not show up in Review 360 when published. The feedback section in Review 360 reads, "No comments yet." What do I need to do to get my Storyline 360 comments to appear in Review 360?

  • Hi AaronS1,
I'm happy to jump back in here!
Review 360 items are tied to the Articulate 360 account that publishes them, and currently there isn’t a way to transfer or share publishing ownership between individual accounts. Because of that, teams usually do one of the following:

    1. Have the original publisher republish updates so all comments stay in the same Review link.
    2. Republish from another user’s account if ownership changes. This will create a new Review item and link tied to that user.

If you're on a Teams subscription, you can share publishing ownership among team members by using shared team folders in Review 360. You can check out how they works, here, and let us know if you have any questions!

More details: I made the comments in Storyline 360 before ever publishing to Review 360. After the initial publishing to Review 360, the comments did not transfer from Storyline 360. Coming in the next day and opening the project in Storyline 360, I found that the comments were no longer there. Apparently, they did not save with the Storyline file. Subsequent comments made in Storyline 360 after the Review 360 publishing do show up in both Storyline and Review 360. Is there a way to preserve Storyline comments and export them to Review 360 before establishing the first published instance in Review 360?

      Hi AaronS1,

      I'm happy to help!

Currently, there isn't a way to export Storyline comments to Review 360, prior to publishing the course to Review. Could you please walk me through where you’re adding comments in Storyline, or share a screenshot? I want to make sure I’m following your exact workflow!

Once you publish a Storyline course to Review 360, the Comments panel appears on the right of the screen. Reviewers can add comments there, and this is where you can view them as well. Each comment will include a screenshot of how the slide looked when the stakeholder added feedback.

Review 360 comments only appear in Storyline courses that you've published to Review 360. You can then post comments and collaborate with stakeholders directly in Storyline, without leaving the authoring tool.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for your reply and insight, KellyAuner!

I see what you mean that the Comments panel doesn't appear in Storyline 360 until the course is published in Review 360 for the first time. I created a new project file as a test and found this to be the case.

In my particular situation, which prompted my above post, another team member created, completed, then published the Storyline 360 project to Review 360 for its quality assurance checks, then launched the project in our LMS.

Subsequently, I was assigned to apply updates to the project. I am guessing that since it was previously published in Review 360 by my team member, this enabled the Comments feature within Storyline 360. But it seems that because I have my own Articulate 360 license/account, my comments were not linked to my team member's Review 360 publication, and perhaps were not linked to anything online, which caused them to disappear after I closed and reopened the Storyline 360 project (which occurred before my initial publishing to Review 360).

Is there a way for team members with their own individual Articulate 360 licenses/accounts to share publishing ownership? Or maybe in the case of project updates by different team members, the update should be published to Review 360 at the very outset to facilitate and save online Storyline 360 comments as the updates are applied within Storyline 360.

Thank you for any additional info or help you might be able to provide!
