Hello everyone, I’m encountering an issue in Storyline that seems to have appeared after the most recent updates. Context: I’m using a question slide with: one Correct layer one Incorrect layer I added a third layer called “Lock”, designed to hide the Next button. Main slide: Standard question slide Next button visible after answering Correct / Incorrect layers: Display feedback Next button available to proceed Triggers in Correct / Incorrect layers: Lock layer: Hides the Next button Trigger logic: The “Lock” layer is triggered when the learner clicks the “Next” button Its purpose is to prevent navigation when the slide is revisited This is mainly used during review mode via a lightbox (recap) Expected behavior: When the learner revisits the slide in lightbox/review mode, the “Lock” layer should remain active, ensuring that the Next button stays hidden. Current behavior: The “Lock” layer does not persist upon revisit The slide returns to its base state with the feedback The Next button becomes visible and clickable again This breaks the intended restriction logic during recap Additional info: This setup worked correctly prior to the recent updates Question: Has anyone experienced similar behavior with layer persistence or slide state reset in lightbox/review mode? Could this be linked to a recent change in how Storyline handles layer states or slide revisits? Thanks in advance for your help!Solved128Views1like8CommentsChanging Color of Flash Screen Before Lesson
Hi everyone! How do you change the color of the screen that flashes before the lesson loads on the screen when you either review it in 360 or when it loads in an LMS? I changed the player screens to match the new colors my client wants but can't seem to figure out why. In the attached example, you can see when I click on it, it flashes a dark blue color then goes to the black background from the player. It does this when it is loaded into an LMS as well. Hello, We are working with the translation feature in Storyline and Rise. We have a need to update our translation glossary as we are seeing the language validator suggestions. Is there a way to export the following information from Articulate Review: Source language text Original translation from Articulate Language validator translation suggestion There are enough changes to our modules that tracking them manually is not really feasible given the timeframe we have to work with. Thanks all!12Views0likes0CommentsArticulate Review Requiring Sign In To Comment
I loaded a course to Review and checked the box to allow comments without signing in. My SME tried accessing this morning and she is unable to comment, it keeps asking for her to sign in. I've changed the settings back and forth and even added a password. Nothing is making it change. I haven't had this problem in the past. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?241Views0likes27CommentsMajor Storyline Audio Playback Issues
I have recently been receiving a lot of feedback from my course testers that there have been issues with audio not playing, audio only partly playing, incorrect audio playing or layer audio overlapping when they visit the slide initially, however when they return to the slide the audio works as designed. Even weirder, two people may be testing the exact same package and will experience completely different audio glitches and some testers experience no glitches at all. These tests have been done on both Review360 and in SCORM 1.2 and 2004 on our LMS. It has been tested in both Edge and Chrome. There are no issues with the timeline and the audio is not attached to any triggers. I've been using Storyline for around a decade now and have never encountered an issue like this. From looking at the forums here it seems that a number of people are having similar issues, with no solutions provided or any update/explanations as to why this may be occurring. This is incredibly frustrating, as it means nothing can get past quality control and be provided to clients. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix?70Views2likes2CommentsAI Assistant & Localization in Rise- WONDERFUL!!!
I have created two courses using AI Assistant and Localization, and I am over the moon excited! The process was so very time-consuming, and the translation, per my language expert checker, was spot on! I’m a department of one supporting multiple car rental brands in 28 countries. Hooray for Localization! At least for the Spanish translation. Working on my third course now, using AI Assistant and Localization. I could never have produced three interactive courses in two different languages before these new enhancements in Articulate 360, in under two weeks. Never, never, never! Thank you, Articulate 360 team, not just for the two enhancements, but for making them very easy to use. You certainly kept it simple, streamlined, and focused on your user audience’s needs. AI Assistant is not an ordinary AI Assistant. It is a Trainer’s AI Assistant! Okay, Luminaries, you have another Articulate 360 cheerleader! Hi All, I've inserted a Vyond video which includes audio and when I play the video in my Storyline project and it plays correctly in Storyline; however, when I upload the project to Articulate Review or to my LMS, the audio sounds like there is an echo or that a second audio file is playing in the background. Any suggestions on how I might fix this? Thanks! MishkaStoryline audio stops working on random slides
I’ve been working with Storyline for some time, but this time I’ve encountered an issue where I’m unable to identify any clear cause or logic behind what’s happening. I currently have four modules published from Storyline, both for SCORM and Review. During the review process, one of my colleagues commented that a particular slide did not have audio. However, when I checked, the audio was present on the slide timeline and played correctly on my end in both Review and Preview. Another co-worker of mine also confirmed that the audio worked for her. 🙃 I then published the module to SCORM and uploaded it to Moodle. While conducting final testing, I noticed that a few slides are experiencing the same issue. The audio does not play when the slide starts. To make the audio work, I either need to: go back to the previous slide and return to the slide, or let the slide timeline finish (in restricted mode), then drag the timeline back to the beginning, at which point the audio starts playing. I would prefer not to create a trigger on every slide to play the audio, as the audio should automatically play when the slide timeline starts. Additionally, most of the slides are working correctly, and only a few slides are affected, which makes it difficult to determine the cause. if anyone has encountered similar issues and have some suggestions or tips on how to fix this. I would greatly appreciate the help!!!504Views0likes15Comments
