Publish Review links in Team folder by default - Feature Request

My company has a Team subscription, when publishing to Review (from Rise/Storyline) we would like to set the default location for the Review link to be in the shared Team folder instead of the Private area for the person publishing. At the moment we have to manually move links into the Team folder after we have published. Does anyone know of a way to do this or is it a feature that could be added?

  • Hi AnnabelleGrew!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your ideas!

We're currently tracking a feature request that will allow authors to publish directly to Review folders from Storyline and Rise. I've shared your feedback with our product team so we can notify you if this feature makes it to our Feature Roadmap.

Any update on this? We've recently run into trouble on duplicate review links being created and we suspect it's due to these "default" tabs. We'd also love a way to transfer items in bulk (select all) to the team folder. Right now, if you click just barely off, it deselects all the courses you have to select by hand it's not a great experience.

The current default behavior of publishing review links to the Private folder creates challenges in maintaining stable review links, especially when multiple contributors are working on the same set of files. Allowing users to choose a specific destination folder would significantly improve stability by ensuring review links remain consistent across file versions.

    Current Workaround:
We create a shared folder and grant edit access to everyone involved. Each person must then frequently check their Private folder and manually move newly created items into the shared folder.

The ability to change the default location for review links to a team folder is really needed, Articulate Team! We have (again) come across a problem where stakeholders have access to a Review link that i cannot update (and the author has gone on leave before moving to the team folder) and I also cannot turn off the comments. With a business subscription, the default should 100% be a team location. Please look at this!

Once again our company has run into problems with the inability to default the publish to team area. It's a real oversight of a 'Team subscription'. Is there any movement on this feature? I cannot see it listed on the development roadmap and that really concerns me.

      Hi KellyAtkins,

      Thanks for your feedback!

I can understand how having the ability to default the publish directly to a Teams folder in Review 360 would be beneficial. I’d love to better understand the impact this has on your team so we can capture your use case accurately.

      • How often does your team encounter this?
      • What type of problems does this cause for your team?
      •  Ideally, would you want an admin to be able to set the team area as the default for everyone, or would you prefer each author to be able to choose and save their own default publishing location?

Any additional details about your team’s workflow and the impact of the current behavior would be really helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

        Hi Kelly,

I realise that this question was not directed at me, but as I've commented above and experienced issue with the lack of this feature I'd love to provide my examples.

The problem we encounter often is if we are asked to make a small edit to a course, then reshare with the stakeholder to show them that the change has been made. We use a Review link for this purpose and when we cannot re-publish to the original link (because the course owner has not remembered to move it from Private folder to Team folder) then we need to recreate a whole new review link. This now means that previous comments are lost in the old version and we also need to manage version control of our Review links with naming conventions (rather than being able to use the in-built version function). The Team settings should make it easier to work as a team, but right now, we are restricted by whoever the owner is.

I would want our Admin to be able to set the default to the Team folder. We have 25-30 licences so having to remember to tell everyone to change a default or remember to move review links sets us up to fail.
