Right now, the best way to make an image look centered is to add extra white space on each side of the image using an image editor. It sounds like you need a feature that allows for image placement customization, so I'll be happy to share your thoughts with my team.
Yep, surprised this is not already available, seems like a oversight. Adding white space either side is not a viable solution as Rise courses are responsive so the amount of whitespace required will differ depending on the resolution / platform being used to view the course.
This is disappointing to thing that this wasn't considered in the basic development. Seems like something that should be intuitive, Hopefully it will be added in an update ASAP without needing to flood the team with feature requests.
