Which block type did you use to insert the GIF into your lesson? I recommend using an image block, because you can upload a GIF file anywhere an image can be uploaded!
I have been using the text block as I have content to be seen with the giph or image. If I use the image block then I cannot add content for the training.
I can upload the giphe from the internet no problem but the URL description is showing.
It sounds like you're trying to insert a GIF file inside a text block. Text blocks only accept text, so you'll want to use an Image & Text block to combine GIFs and text.

Amazing work! I have not seen this info anywhere in the thread, so sorry if I missed it. I was wondering if you could share exactly how you created these animated gifs with planets in Storyline? I am very keen to learn what you did to make those animations so smooth!

For some reason, the gif I'm inserting is coming up as just an image.
Hi Abby,
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you’ve run into this snag.
Could you share what block type you are working with in Rise 360? For inserting GIFs, you will want to use an image block type.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
What does the file need to be saved as to play as a gif in rise? Every .gif I add shows up as a static image.
Hi Abby,
Animated GIFs need to have a .GIF file extension.
However, both Animated GIFs and static GIFs use the same file extension.
Was your file specifically created as an Animated GIF?
