French accented text in Rise 360

Can somebody please tell me how to insert accented characters into my text? I need to put some words in both French & English (e.g., engineers/ingenieurs) but I don't know how to include a single accented letter. I thought I would be able to just insert a symbol character (like in Word), but I don't see that capability in Rise. What's the fix for this?

    Hi Lisa,

    You can add the accented characters in Word and copy and paste them into Rise.

      Thanks, Karl, that worked. It's disappointing that we have to use a workaround like that, but I'll take it if it gets the job done. Thanks!

        Hi Lisa,

        You can use ALT+CODES to enter symbols directly into Rise.

    Where is Alt+Codes in Rise please? Yes I have an ALT button on my keyboard, but don't see a Codes button.

      Hi Gayle,

      You can get the ALT CODES from this site:

      https://www.alt-codes.net/ 

      French alphabet https://www.alt-codes.net/french_alt_codes/ 

      This is how you use ALT CODES:

      1. Make sure that you switch on the Number Lock on your keyboard. 
      2. In Rise, edit the text text block where you insert the special character.
      3. Press and hold down the ALT key (left ALT key on the keyboard).
      4. Type the alt code (you should use the numbers on the keypad, not the ones on top row of the keypad) for the special character or symbol you want to get and then release the ALT key.
