Thoughts on gamifying a Rise course using points

Hey All, 

I'm taking an online course from NovoEd. Their platform gamifies their course, which looks just like a Rise course.  By viewing and completing tasks, you get points in the left navigation.  The goal is to achieve a certain number of points to complete the class.  

I'm curious to hear and perhaps see examples of what you've done to achieve something like I've described.  I have spent the morning on the heroes site browsing and reading threads but I haven't found one on this topic (Admins- please direct me if there are some that you know!)

A note:  I'm building my very first Rise course.  I'm a diehard Storyline builder but want a new and fresh look for a series I'm rebuilding and have decided to use Rise to do that, all the while, teaching myself how to build a Rise course.
