Tracking and Saving Progress data of Rise Courses without LMS?

Apr 01, 2021

Hi,

We are currently using Moodle-based LMS. But we realized that using Moodle for our particular project is not good in terms of user experience since we have separate landing pages(website) for our project/courses.

I know that we can export the Rise Courses for Web or xApi(LMS). The problem with the Web version is that there is no default/easy way to track and save the user progress like in an LMS. Each time the learner refreshes the page or closes the computer and opens it again, it starts over again.

For xApi, as far as I understand we still need an LMS to track and save the XaPI statements to an LRS. Cannot we save the xAPI statements without LMS?

Do you have any suggestions for us to save the user progress and completion information without using an LMS or implementing a pseudo-LMS solution?

Thank you

Hi Kanaat!

Since you don't want to track using an LMS, check out Rise.com

Rise.com is an all-in-one online training system that gives you one place to create, track, manage, and analyze your training. It includes all the authoring functionality from Rise 360, plus a library of pre-built lessons on common business topics.

Once you’ve created a course, you can enroll learners, track their progress, and analyze training effectiveness—all within Rise.com.

To see it in action, head over to rise.com! And if you have any questions about how Rise could work for you, you can email the Rise team at sales@rise.com

Hi Maleka,

This thread is a little outdated and we've made several updates and improvements to our products since Renz's last post. If you're looking for an LMS for your organization, you can now check out Reach 360, which is one of our latest applications.

And good news, The Reach 360 Starter plan is included in every Articulate 360 Teams subscription, with room for 300 active learners per year. Feel free to open a case with our support team here if you're interested in learning more!
