Interactive Practice: Extracting ZIP Files
For my first eLearning challenge, I played around with the code block for a course I'm working on that covers the basics of working with design files in the printing industry. Step 1? Extracting zip files. I already have a video walking through the file extraction process, but wanted to offer learners a hands-on way to practice.
I used Canva's AI code creator to build a simulated "file explorer" that functions as a real file explorer would, including folder systems and different file types. It took 12 versions to land on the code in this demo. Revisions to the code included adding steps for learners to follow, using our brand's accent colors, and ensuring files extracted to different folders properly populate in that folder after the extraction.
