Animations, story-telling, and team building!
I created this course inspired by a previous challenge and a topic request from a client! Built in Storyline with animations from Vyond. I incorporated story-telling and humor to cover the four stages of team building, all wrapped up in an epic quest with knights, wizards and a dragon. Would love to hear what the community thinks!

Fun example that enlivens the content! Just curious, which AI voice did you use for this example?
I used the enhanced AI voices on Vyond for all of the characters, except the Dragon at the end. AI voices have come a looong way, and if you choose the right voices on Vyond (included with the subscription) you have the option to change the tone, speed and pitch. All of the characters had a different AI voice that allowed me to adjust - the tone (angry, friendly, surprised, etc.) was super useful in setting up the scenes. The Dragon at the end is my voice - partially because I couldn't find another AI voice I liked and partially because I just wanted to be a dragon. :) If you'd like me to list the specific AI Voice names, I'd be happy to look them up but off the top of my head: Cedric was Andrew (multilingual), Alred the Wizard was Kai; Rosalind was Serena (multilingual) and I think Evelyne was Jane.
Thank you for that explanation / list! Agreed. The voices were really good (and well used/tweaked!), prompting my question. :) They added a wonderful dimension to your engaging project.

This is incredible! Thanks for sharing. So much effort and time involved I'm sure to create this. I love the combo of storytelling, branching scenarios, and interactive sections like the drag and drop and this extensive use of Vyond.

May I ask about the intended audience, specifically their mastery of the English language? My environment has English as additional language learners. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Allison: I'm so glad you enjoyed it! As designers, we don't often get the green light to add humor to our training and it was so fun to have the opportunity to be a little a silly. I designed it for adults for whom English is their first language. I scripted the characters to talk in a modified "knight speak" (at least that what I called it in my head) - the language would have to be simplified for English as additional language learners, I would think.
Nice job! I enjoyed every moment and it solidified the PM concepts in a way I never expected. How long did this take from concept to completion?
Hi Shernell! It took about a month to do, maybe 5 weeks altogether - I had a little bit of time between projects and I had so much fun building the story that it came together in a blur of creative energy!

This is incredible!! May I ask how you animated the people. I'd love to start to learn this skill, but I'm not sure where to start. Is After Effects the only option, or is there something else you can recommend? I'd love to know how you created this.
Hi Kerri: The animation is easier than it looks and definitely something you can learn to do. I used Vyond, but there are other platforms that do the same thing. Using the platform, you can use characters already in the library or design your own. There is a library of actions you can choose for the character and motion paths to allow for movement. The characters will lip sync with either an AI generated voice or a voice you upload. Sound effects and music libraries are provided too. There are several pre-created backgrounds you can choose from to get you started - everything is customizable and can be tweaked. Biggest thing to remember is that you are building "in time" - animating is putting objects in motion based on a timeline. Once you get the basic mechanics down, you're only limited by your imagination!
