Explore a Superhero
For this personal project, I wanted to explore some of Articulate Storyline’s capabilities that I haven’t had many opportunities to use in other projects. I incorporated background audio, a sprinkle of emphasis animations, and a generous helping of Morph transitions between slides.
Morph opens up so many creative possibilities, and I especially liked the idea of using it to take a closer look at an object and explore its individual components. In this demo, that object is a superhero suit, but the same approach could be used in real-world projects to explore just about anything—from a physical device or object to a process flow, diagram, or other complex concept.
And, as you might have guessed, I’m a big fan of comics and superheroes, so I created all the illustrations and visual design myself.

First of all, ScottSchmeer, how cool that you created all the illustrations and visual design! Do you have a favorite superhero? 👀
Thanks for sharing this build! This is a great example because you are right, I can see this being used for many different scenarios to zoom in and explore. Do you have any tips for someone who might also be new to using morph transitions?
PS: We are going to share this example in an upcoming newsletter, so be sure you are subscribed if you want it in your inbox!

Hi Katie,
Thanks so much for the kind words! I think I would suggest 2 tips for morph transitions:
- Play first. I always find that I discover new ways of looking at things when I play around without a particular goal or design in mind.
- When you do know what want to do - begin with the end. Build the last slide in the sequence first so you lock in all the elements you'll need. Then build the slides that lead up to it.
PS: Spider-Man has always been my favorite :)
