- AlfonseHoserCommunity MemberHi, I really like the style but is it just me that finds it very slow?
- MauroGaiottoCommunity MemberKawabanga! Great work Phil, very creative, congratulations!
- JamesHoggCommunity MemberGreat Effort and congrats on the award. How many development hours did this take to build?
- PhilMayorSuper HeroHi James difficult to say how long as most of the easter eggs are prebuilt from other demos examples and just modified, one of the exercises was already built and just needed "rebranding". I would say I put in 3-4 days to pull it all together but also had an illustrator work on it for a day and then there is the V/O guy. Overall probably a week of my time.
- JamesHoggCommunity MemberThanks for the reply. Always good to know for bench marking.
- RiaanTArendseCommunity MemberPainting the fence made me feel like Tom Sawyer. Well done Phil. Ninja definitely in the same league as your Periodic Table that I saw years ago.
- PhilMayorSuper HeroI have to be honest here Paint the fence was meant to be a slider interaction but I ran out of time, If I get time I will build a directors cut.
- MichaelFimianCommunity MemberHa! Great job Phil!
Liked the phrase "we are modern ninjas" so click to tweet.

- TanyaStormCommunity MemberThis was so much fun! Loved the whole thing, esp the find the coin one. I got to paint too! And it's even my fave color. :)

- ReneeMinium2Community MemberThe course is beautiful. Great design that showed in every element.
However, it's really hard to navigate. I was interrupted while taking it, but there is no pause button. I saw Easter eggs throughout, but nothing happened when I clicked on them. I completed two of the challenges, but I could not figure out the code for the coin. It was really frustrating.
I can envision a few ways to use the safe activity and water activity in the real world. How would use the Shurikan activity?- PhilMayorSuper HeroHi Renee, thanks, sorry you had problems, the easter eggs are only there to show that you need to do something to view the extra content it is not as simple as clicking on the easter egg (that will not work).
If you can not complete a section click on the master icon and he will show you a video of how to complete the level. As a hint for the find the coin level look at the picture and the safe.
The navigation was intentional and the aim was to get the user to explore., and with no ability to go backwards to give a real world feel to it, I did toy with different navigation elements during the design, you can try each game as many times as you like and there is no need to view the introduction again.
It depends on which shuriken game you played (there are two in there) but the key press one could be used to ask questions under a time limit (where you press a,b,c) or it could be used for learning to type or even to fill in the missing letter for learning to type. The other game is just a bit of fun.
I did look into the pause button, but didn't implement it for a couple of reasons the introduction is short and pauses on each slide and the games rely on a timer element that pausing may help you complete some of the task.
