I like the idea of the splash screen and the custom branding. Do you know if there's a way to retain the video controls (play, pause, speed, fullscreen, seek bar etc.) whilst using a frame like this?

Yes - you can retain the video controls even when using a custom frame or splash screen. It typically involves adding or adjusting the embed code so the player controls remain enabled.
You can also take it a step further by adding interactive elements, like clickable points in the video that lets learners jump to specific sections. I’m actually doing something similar in a project I’m currently working on, and it’s a great way to make the experience more engaging.
