Level Up English Quiz
Hi everyone!
I’d like to share my project “Level Up English Quiz”, which I created for the English Speaking Club at the company where I work. This quiz was created to attract new members and speakers. Feel free to share your feedback or ideas for improvement.

How it’s built:
I created three variables: FiftyUsed, HintUsed, and SkipUsed.
Each hint icon has two states: Normal (active) and Disabled (used).
When a hint is clicked, the corresponding action is performed:
- 50/50 — changes the state of two incorrect answers to Hidden;
- Hint — opens a layer with a text clue;
- Skip — automatically skips the current question and moves to the next one.
After a hint is used, its variable changes to True, and the icon becomes inactive.
When each question loads, triggers check the variable values and disable any hints that have already been used.

Hi! Ekaterina_V Thanks, I’m happy you enjoyed the design!
I designed the UI and all the visuals in Figma myself, but the character illustrations are from Freepik. - Anton_ShumeykoCommunity Member
Hi! AlyssaGomez Thanks a lot! 😊
Yes, the hint buttons use variables to track their state.How it’s built:

Hi Anton,
Thank you for sharing your project! It looks great.
I really like the graphics and UI, great job.
Did you design the visuals yourself? Anton_Shumeyko this is a stellar example! 👏 I love the color palette, the graphics, the animations...everything! Would you be willing to share more details around how you built it? I'm especially curious about the hint buttons--did you use variables to disable those once they have been used? Excited to learn more about this project!
Hi Anton_Shumeyko I echo what Alyssa said! I LOVE this!
I wonder if you might be open to going a bit deeper with us in a 'How I Built This' feature, something that walks through your process and offers tips for others who want to experiment.
We recently published a great 'How I Built This' piece as an example, but this could even take shape as a live webinar or demo if you prefer a more interactive format.
Let me know if that's something you might want to explore!

Hi! Katie-Jordan Thank you for the kind words!
I’d love to share my experience with other participants. I think I’d be most comfortable doing this in the form of an article.
