Rise 360: 3 Techniques for Successful Upselling
This quick module for a fictional high-end restaurant focuses on three sales techniques using the scenario block in Rise 360. First, you'll see the scenario block used to present some sample dialogue for each sales technique. Then, you'll have a chance to practice applying these techniques in a fun and challenging branching scenario. The best part of all? It only took me a few minutes to create this in Rise 360.

- YunLiu-7f49ff86Community MemberHi Trina,
Another great piece of work! I really like your design and the new feature! It's amazing that finally, we are able to create scenarios in Rise.
Could you please send a copy of this project to yliu@tugo.com?
Thank you!- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffHi Yun. Just wanted to let you know that I'm not able to share a copy of this project with you. It was built in a pre-release version of the scenario block so it won't work in your version.
- SaravananPachaiCommunity MemberHi Trina,
Wow, love the way you have built the scenario. Can you share a copy of the project to saravanan.p@tafe.com.
Thank you.- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffHi Saravanan and thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately, I'm not able to share this example as it was built with a pre-release version of the scenario block and won't work in the final release version you're using. Hopefully, you can refer to this published version to emulate what I've created.
- KarenLoftus-586Community MemberThis on is great Trina. I hadn't realized I could select from any of the characters poses by simply scrolling to the bottom of the image and selecting "More." You gave me the idea to search around for it. Thanks!
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffThanks, Karen. I'm glad I was able to prompt you to search for custom poses. When I was first getting up to speed with the scenario block, it took me a second to catch on to that, too!
- MichealPriceCommunity MemberHi Trina! Is it possible to add in your own images for character poses? We have an in-house photo studio and I'd love to use my training team for the character selection. We are a plus-size business with a focus on fashion and we rarely find fashionable plus size women in stock images. Being able to add in our own characters for selling scenarios would make my courses more engaging.
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffHi Micheal! How fortunate you are to work in an org that values diversity so much! Right now, there is not a supported way to upload your own character images to the scenario block in Rise 360, but that is a feature request we're tracking so I'll add your voice to the mix. We'll keep you posted on any updates!
- RickVallejo-ffbCommunity MemberHello Trina, the copy you sent to me earlier does not load so I submitted a ticket which is Case #01964269.
Do you think resending this Rise couse me would correct the problem? Thank you- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffHi Rick. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the course was created with a pre-release version of the scenario block feature. I don't think sending you another copy of this will resolve this issue. I'm sorry I can't be of more help here! I do have recreating this project on my to-do list, so I'll be sure to reply here once I've refreshed this example with a version that you can copy to your Rise dashboard.
- CaseyEdwards-6dCommunity MemberThank you so much for sharing Trina--your work is inspiring. I'm even more excited to try scenario feature now!
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffYou're so welcome, Casey! I can't wait to hear how you're using the scenario block in your projects!
- VickieSubletteCommunity MemberI really like the design of that module. I enjoyed taking the quizzes, too!
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffThat's awesome, Vickie. Glad you found this module so enjoyable!
- DeepaJaising784Community MemberBrilliant work.. happen to just stumble upon this .. i am using Rise after a long time and looks like a lot of enhancements have taken place.. so excited to try them all now..
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffThat's wonderful, Deepa. I hope you'll share your experience (or examples of what you're creating) with us here in the community!
- ChristieBeck-2bCommunity MemberI understand how to use the branching scenario that is used for practice in this example, but how was the first one created? The scenario that uses two characters - the customer and the waitress - interacting and showing how to upsell?
- ChristieBeck-2bCommunity Membernevermind! I figured it out!
- GeraldinepalaciCommunity MemberHi, I was curious to find out how did you add those icons at the end of the course for example the one in the wrap up section called register?
- TrinaRimmerFormer StaffHi Geraldine. Those icons are actually buttons and they're available as a button stack block or as an individual button block in Rise 360. You'll find them under the interactive blocks in the blocks library. You just click to add them to your Rise lesson and then customize the button block with links to your content and you can customize the button labels as well.
I hope this gets you pointed in the right direction. Feel free to reply with any other questions you may have!
